How to shrink one or many photos to a specific size for the web.
A lot of folks do not realize that there are different sizes of photographs for internet or web use. Some sites need huge files (24 MEGA BYTES - like SmugMug photography sites) and some only want 1 MB (like Photobucket - Facebook) or less. Typical web size asked for is 640x480 px (pixels) to be displayed on pages like the one you are on now. So how do you shrink these larger files?
With Shrink-O-Matic it's fairly easy and the program is (as of this writing) free. I created this screencast to help a client with their large photo files so they would fit on to their new website. One wants to get the photos up to the web at the actual size needed and not huge files that need to be resized by the web servers all the time, wastes time and resources.
